Eleven wind turbines at 2,720 metres on Villonaco hill, with views over the Loja and Catamayo valleys.
Just over 10 km from Loja, on the summit of Villonaco hill at 2,720 metres, turn the 11 turbines of the 16.5 MW Villonaco Wind Farm, in commercial operation since 2013.
The site is a natural viewpoint over the Loja and Catamayo valleys and lies on the way to the airport. Bring a warm layer: up there the wind never stops. We include it in the Villonaco – Boquerón river route.
