A full-day outing to Changaimina, a parish of Gonzanamá canton, where water has carved the rock into the pools known as Pailas Rotas. It is a place to rest, swim and listen to the river.

We have lunch at the bathing spot and in the afternoon walk an ecological trail along the Changaimina river to observe its plants and wildlife.

Itinerary

  1. Breakfast at the hotel

    Breakfast at La Campiña restaurant: American style or à la carte with Loja specialities (humitas, tamales, green-plantain bolones).

  2. 07:30 · Departure to Changaimina

    Drive to the south of the province.

  3. 10:00 · Pailas Rotas

    Rest and a swim in the pools.

  4. 13:00 · Lunch at the bathing spot

    Traditional lunch.

  5. 14:30 · Riverside trail

    A walk along the Changaimina river and its flora and fauna trail.

  6. Back at the hotel

    Arrival at El Cardenal, where a cup of Loja coffee and a snack await you.
