A day with a rural community: life in the village of Maycainuma and a farm with livestock, crops and a school.
This route shows the Loja countryside from the inside. In the village of Maycainuma people tell us how they live and work in the community, and then we spend the day on a local community farm.
There we have lunch and see its activities: livestock, farming and the school that serves local families. It is a quiet outing, ideal for travellers with children or anyone interested in community tourism.
Breakfast at La Campiña restaurant: American style or à la carte with Loja specialities (humitas, tamales, green-plantain bolones).
Transfer and an introduction to community life.
Excursion to the farm.
Lunch with produce from the farm.
A tour of the farm’s activities.
Arrival at El Cardenal, where a cup of Loja coffee and a snack await you.
